Anngannguujuk – the boy who was kidnapped

This book, which is about parts of the spiritual and material cultural inheritance of Greenland, gives us a long-awaited, easily-accessible, short and animated description of many of the phenomena upon which Greenland’s culture is built. Hopefully, many people will enjoy the book, in particular visitors to Greenland who are looking for a short introduction to those parts of Greenland’s culture that are only heard of sporadically.

forfattere og illustratorer Malebogen er en del af projektet Meeqqerivitsialak – den gode børnehave. Teksten er skrevet af Naussunguaq Lyberth, Zanne Laressa Zeeb og Agga Lund. Naussunguaq har tidligere skrevet teksten til de fire andre bøger i Meeqqerivitsialak-projektet. Illustrationerne, stregtegninger kombineret med sort/hvide fotos, er lavet af Paarma Olsvig Brandt og Sebastian Reiding.

Anori and Aataa, his grandpa, live in the town of Sisimiut in Greenland.Sisimiut is a place, where people own sled dogs and drive dog sleds. Aataa owns seven big, strong sled dogs, which he uses for all sorts of purposes.
